We are proud to announce to you that our Refugee Café Students were able to sit for their Level 2 Food Hygiene Assessment exam in December and passed considering how difficult the year turned out to be. The students have played a vital role in the preparing of the hot meals that were delivered to our vulnerable clients both families and individuals as part of their practical classes
This project is funded by Bradford Council working in partnership with Bradford college to train refugees in catering skills, learning basic food hygiene, cooking, customer service and gaining work experience by helping to run the café 3 days a week. We are hoping to have other Refugee students enrolling for this course after Ramadan as well as seeing the re-opening of our Welcome Café to the public. Keep an eye out for when will re -open and support this amazing project.
